Strawberry & Fresh Cream Cake, Savoury Tart, Chocolate & Peanut Butter Brownie and Cheese & Sundried Tomato Scones
Arrive at 9.15 am
Have a cup of tea or coffee with a slice of Gluten Free cake and meet your fellow bakers.
Trudy will chat about the day ahead.
Cooking starts approximately 9.45am
You will be shown how to make vanilla sponge cake (to assemble later)Then recreate it yourself, don’t worry Trudy will be on hand to help with any problems.
You will be given all the ingredients and a worksheet and a recipe to follow.
Then we will tackle savoury pastry. I will show you how to make the pastry and roll it out (yes, roll it out, you will be amazed how easy it is with the right tips and recipe).
Time to make a gorgeous caramelised onion Savoury Tart, using the pastry you have made. Again using worksheets.
Lunch approx 12.30pm -1.00pm
Break for well-earned light lunch and a cuppa ( which will be supplied). And reflect on the morning’s work.
Back in the kitchen
Let’s start with the Chocolate and peanut butter brownie traybake. Again worksheets will be used.
While that is cooking, time for the last bake of the day Savoury Scones (these are my husbands favourite).
Last but not least finish off Strawberry and Fresh Cream sponge and box all your baked goodies up to take home.
